Elio Masciari is currently an associate professor at the Federico II University of Naples with an Associate Professor profile.
Previously he was a researcher at the Institute of Computing and High-Performance Networks of the National Research Council (ICAR-CNR)

In 2021, the activities carried out focused on using Big Data based techniques for the analysis of Fake News, the analysis of sentiment concerning COVID-19, and the analysis of veterinary clinical records.
These activities will be deepened and expanded in 2022 as they are fully in line with the research group’s activities and, in general, with the aims of the ICAR-CNR.

In particular, we will try to extend the outlier detection models with techniques that can be used to detect suspicious activity in activity logs by exploiting the analysis of user behavior.
Finally, sentiment-type analyzes will be extended to the case of COVID-19 vaccines, a theme that heavily intersects with the theme of fake news detection in the current historical period. He is the author of over 140 national and international journals and conference publications. He also holds “National Scientific Qualification” for the role of Full Professor.

Masciari collaborates with the ICAR-CNR researchers of the research group of Behavioral Modeling and Scalable Analytics
