Biography and Research Interests
Massimo Esposito is currently Senior Researcher at the Institute for High Performance Computing and Networking of the National Research Council (ICAR-CNR).
He received the degree V.O. in Computer Engineering (Cum Laude) at the University of Naples Federico II in March 2004. He obtained a 1st level University Master, called European Master on Critical Networked Systems in December 2007, and a PhD in Information Technology Engineering in April 2011 at the University of Naples Parthenope.
Since 2012 he has been adjunct professor of Computer Science at the University of Naples “Federico II”, Faculty of Engineering and, since 2022, adjunct professor of Artificial Intelligence for Health Systems at the Giustino Fortunato Telematic University.
He is responsible for the “Language and Knowledge Engineering (LKE)” group. at ICAR-CNR and of the project area “Health, care and well-being” of the Department of Engineering, ICT and Technologies for Energy and Transport of the CNR.
He is currently a member of the Academic Board of the National Doctorate in Artificial Intelligence on Health and Life Sciences.
His research interests are in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Decision Support Systems, Natural Language Processing and Knowledge Engineering.
He has been involved in several national and European projects, he has been in the program committee of several international conferences and workshops.
Furthermore, he is currently a member of the editorial board of the international journals Discover Artificial Intelligence (Springer), Artificial Intelligence Review (Springer), Internet of Things; Engineering Cyber Physical Human Systems (Elsevier), Frontiers in Robotics and AI, section Computational Intelligence in Robotics (Frontiers).
He is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed articles in international journals and conference proceedings.
