The eighth edition was organized by the Palermo branch and took place from September 27 to 29, 2010, in Terrasini at the Hotel Città del Mare. The scientific program of the workshop included invited talks, a panel, and a roundtable discussion on various ICT research topics.

The presentations and discussions aimed to analyze and delve into specific research themes of significant interest to ICAR and the ICT Department of CNR, with initial presentations designed to set the stage for discussion and stimulate contributions from the participants. The roundtable focused on effective methods and new models to make ICT research both high-quality and beneficial to society.
