The COCOWEARS project, funded by the European Union and supported by the Italian MUR, aims to advance wearable computing systems through continuum computing. This involves distributing intelligence across various layers of a wearable system’s architecture, enhancing efficiency by leveraging FPGAs for AI and ML model acceleration. The project is built on three pillars: solid theoretical foundations, customized AI/ML, and development tools. It is a collaborative effort involving the University of Calabria, ICAR-CNR, and the University of Bari.
