The project focuses on four main technological issues about eHealth: the interoperability required to communicate and to interconnect the existing systems ensuring data security, privacy and confidentiality; technologies for remote monitoring and telemedicine; knowledge technologies to support medical processes of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation; technologies for predictive medicine, aimed at providing an early diagnosis of genetic basis.

eHealthNet is an Aggregation of research centers, universities, enterprises and health facilities that intends to address these technological challenges through a plan declined on four thematic areas:
