Mario Sicuranza received his B.Eng. degree in Computer Engineering in 2006 and M.Eng. in 2011 from the University of Naples “Federico II”, Italy. He is Ph.D. student in Information Engineering at University of Naples “Parthenope”, Italy. Since 2011, he has been working at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR). Currently, he is fellow research at the Naples branch of the Institute for High Performance Computing and Networking (ICAR). He takes part IPSE and InFSE projects, concerning interoperability infrastructures for Electronic Health Record systems. His research interests include e-Health, Web Services and security architecture. He is member of iHealth lab and HL7 Italia.

Since 2017, he has been an adjunct professor in Elements of Computer Science at the University of Naples Federico II. Since 2022 he has been contract professor of the Health Information Systems course at the Università Telematica Giustino Fortunato.
Since 2023 he is in charge of the FHIR Italy WP (HL7 FHIR IT), born from the need expressed by the DTD for the formalisation and standardisation of FHIR Implementation Guides for health and socio-health documents for the evolution of FSE 2.0.
Since 2022, he has been coordinator of the WP7 Network of Data Centers of a PNRR infrastructure adaptation project.
