he CNR-ICAR is involved in organizing the IEEE International Conference on Simulation, Modeling, and Programming for Autonomous Robots (IEEE SIMPAR 2025), which will be held from April 14 to 18, 2025, at the CNR Territorial Research Area of Palermo (Via Ugo La Malfa, 153, Palermo).

The program features international keynote speakers, including Francesco Nori (Google DeepMind, UK), Marco Dorigo (Université de Bruxelles, Belgium), Wan Kyun Chung (POSTECH, South Korea), Samuele Vinanzi (Sheffield Hallam University, UK), and Francesco Ferro (CEO of PAL Robotics, Spain).

The event will include an Industrial Forum organized in collaboration with SIRI and three workshops: WP1: Theory of Mind and Emotions in Human-Robot Interaction -WP2: How do people explain the behavior of robots? Epistemology of XAI and social robotics – WP3: Artificial Intelligence and its legal challenges: The European Union AI Act.
