Fabio Martinelli, Director of ICAR-CNR, has been elected Vice President of ERCIM (European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics – www.ercim.eu). Founded in 1988, ERCIM is the leading European consortium bringing together the most prestigious research institutes in the fields of computer science and applied mathematics. ERCIM fosters collaboration between the European scientific community and industry through participation in research projects, international working groups, global fellowship programs, and dissemination and outreach activities such as ERCIM News. This appointment recognizes the work carried out by CNR researchers to strengthen their international network and highlights the significant role that Italian research plays within the European context.
