Daniel Riccio is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (diets) of the “Federico II” University of Naples and teaches Computer Architecture and Operating Systems II. He holds his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Salerno.

With the ICAR researchers, he deals with Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision. In particular, he studies methods for the identification and recognition of individual characteristics in the retina, and methods for the automatic detection of retinal pathologies, specifically for retinitis pigmentosa and low vision problems.

Daniel Riccio is a coauthor of the ICAR researchers in some important scientific publications and he is involved in the activities of the research group Artificial Intelligence in Image and Signal Analysis.
