William Spataro is Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Calabria where he teaches Parallel Computing and Distributed Systems in the Computer Science course. His research interests are focused on parallel computing, high performance computing (HPC), load balancing algorithms, modeling and simulation of complex phenomena, grid models, cellular automata and genetic algorithms. He is the author of over 150 articles published in peer reviewed ISI-SCOPUS journals and international conferences covering various HPC and M&S topics. He is a member of the scientific committee of PDP, CSC, PDPTA, EMSS and main organizer of several workshops on HPC and M&S topics at PDP (since 2014), PPAM, ICCSA, NUMTA. He has also been Guest Editor of HPC-related editions of the journals JPDC, Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, Journal of Supercomputing, and IJHPCA.
