Carlo Mastroianni received the Laurea and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Calabria, Rende (Cosenza), Italy, in 1995 and 1999, respectively. He is currently a Director of Research with the ICAR-CNR, the Institute for High-Performance Computing and Networking of the Italian National Research Council. He has co-authored over 120 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include distributed computing, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, bioinspired algorithms, smart grids, and quantum computing.
