The seventh edition was organized by the Rende branch and took place from September 21 to 23, 2009, in Ricadi at the Hotel Capo Vaticano Resort. The scientific program of the workshop included invited talks, a panel, and a roundtable discussion on various ICT research topics.

The presentations and discussions aimed to analyze and explore certain research themes of significant interest to ICAR and the ICT Department of CNR, with initial presentations designed to set the stage for discussion and encourage contributions from the participants. The roundtable focused on the research prospects in the ICT sector and its application domains.
