Campania Oncotherapies

The project aims at creating a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange between different players located in Campania and with proven expertise in the oncology field. Scientists expert in the field of basic and translational oncology research in collaboration with professionals from the industry and production fields will share the common goal of providing new tools to the health care system for cancer prevention and treatment.

To reach this ambitious goal we will create a regional hub for cancer early diagnosis, characterization (pharmaceutical resistance) and alternative therapeutic approaches for no-responder patients.

Specifically, we identified two technological trajectories for the present project:
1. Innovative therapeutic approaches development for prevention and/or treatment of oncological diseases.
2. Development of non-invasive approaches for early diagnosis using new detectors/bio-detectors.
Our multidisciplinary network fulfills the gap between science and industry that usually undermines an
efficient scientific technology transfer.

All the aforementioned activities will be completed and validated by using 2D and 3D cellular models (organoids), pre-clinical animal models, clinical trials, data analysis and validation software for
epidemiological data.

The hub realized for the present project will have two major objectives: Create and disseminate results obtained by the scientific partners of the project and technology transfer to health care industries.
