The South of Italy is increasingly becoming a hub for Artificial Intelligence In the next few days, Naples is getting ready to host ECML PKDD 2026, the prestigious European conference dedicated to Machine Learning and Knowledge Discovery, bringing together researchers, academics, and professionals from around the world from September 7–11.
ICAR-CNR is playing a key role in the organization of this major international event, with Giuseppe Manco, Research Director and head of the BMSA research group at ICAR-CNR in Rende, serving as one of the General Chairs of ECML PKDD 2026.
ICAR-CNR involvement in an event of this scale represents an important opportunity to strengthen the visibility of Italian research on the international AI landscape, while also showcasing the scientific excellence and expertise that make the South of Italy an increasingly important destination for innovation and research.
